Thank you South Africa for all your calls and comments that you have made to mydriverslicence.co.za
I just hope that the South African department of Transport will see this site and recognize the work that needs to be done in all our testing centres, licence and traffic centres.
But until then we will just have to keep up our part of the deal... Which I'm not sure what it is at the moment. Because many people have been calling me and telling that all they have been doing for the past year with the department is giving out money, but no good service at all.
I know they are only human and can only do so much, but we are also human, we can only tolerate so much.
My hope is that, I will be able to get my licence in peace and cooperation. And as a South African citizen I'm willing to take responsibility of my faults, hope that the department is also hoping for the same thing.
Until then keep South Africa safe on the roads and drive like your on the test, cautiously.

Gauteng to change its number plates
From next year 2008 January, car owners will have to change their current number plates to new ones.
This was said by Ignatius Jacobs, Gauteng MEC for Public Transport, Roads and Works.
The new licence plates will include a barcode, which will let the traffic department get fast access to the car drivers records through a computerised technology. And it will help eliminate car thefts and secure car identification and one that Gauteng province has been struggling about is the false issuing of vehicle documents. 400 Million Rand Enatis License System Goes Wrong

400 Million License System Goes Wrong
The Minister of Transport Jeff Radebe reported that the new upgraded licence system is going to start working from the 13 of April 2007
But as said on mydriverslicence website, is that the system has started on a very doubting level. Because people couldn't book because of the system that was down or not install in other testing centers. The system is said to have cost 400 Million rand.
Other testing centres are still going through with taking learners and license bookings manually.
The Enatis electronically system is being launched at Midrand... 2007/04/17
All I'm concerned about is the Ekurhuleni call centre, at least they should look into that centre and find means for people to book for their learners and licenses.

South Africas Drivers & Learners Changeover
From the 5th of April to the 12th, testing centres in South Africa will be closed, due to the change of licensing departments.
The Transport department is upgrading its operation systems to a new one. The booking system that is currently used in South African testing stations is believed to be ailing the high demands of learners and drivers bookings.
The eNatis will start functioning on the 13 of April 2007. And from the 5th to the 12th no booking or testing. Even vehicle testing will not take place. Because eNatis will be upgrading everything, from the traffic department to the stolen car checks. Ekurhuleni's call centre
Many people have been waiting for this. Its been a total disaster trying to book for a learners or a drivers test. But now that the system seems to be on its way we hope, it will create less licensing corruption and more people getting their drivers the legal way!
