Officers are to write a minimum of 10 traffic fines a day...unless

Get ready to receive more traffic fines from Ekurhuleni Metro police chief, Robert McBride. Beeld newspaper reported on Friday (13/07/2007) that McBride had issued letters to officers instructing them to write a minimum of 10 traffic tickets a day.
Officers who failed to reach the target would have to do foot patrols for three months and would not be allowed to work overtime.

Gez at that rate I dont think I will have enough money to buy my groceries. I was given a fine some 2 weeks ago for R700 for a silly mistake I made. Now I will be getting more. Give us a break...
